I'm Marlena Jane Geller, and I help beauty brands all over the world grow into the brands they have been destined to become. I have been doing this since Pete and Ariana and the Queer Eye revival over 5 years ago. I have had the privilege of working with small businesses that have grown from the work like FRÉ Skincare, Ilios Lighting, Milkshake Haircare, and more.

FRÉ Skincare and I had huge gains such as daily content curation and execution, plus coordinating monumental collaborations such as FRÉ X Athleta, which would go on to have multiple secondary collaborations, including a handful of sets that were sold out within days.

Ilios Lighting, the Rolls Royce of beauty light products, is co-founded by world-renowned MakeupByMario (do I even have to connect that he is Kim's makeup artist? You should know that). The brand needed education to explain the features and the wow factors, alongside consulting and beauty PR help. We got the light in hands like Jen Atkin of Ouai, Laney of Saie, and Mara of Mara Beauty. The brand went on to collaborate with benefit at an in-person event using the strategies taught during our time together.

Milkshake haircare is a salon-backed brand that comes from Italy. Through ongoing content and reigniting the community, we were able to kickstart engagement efforts that would be utilized going forward. Plus, we connected and partnered them with brands like Nadaré Co, Bruush, and Ghost Democracy.

I have a degree in Communication with a focus on Interpersonal Relationships with a minor in Education from the University of Kansas, Rock Chalk.

A bit of backstory: I began as an intern and was presented with an opportunity to continue freelancing as a marketing consultant as I graduated my senior year of college -- and everything blossomed from there.

  • The beauty industry's overwhelming nature pushed me to want to reduce the overwhelm and help brands that are doing something innovative do it louder -- and more sustainably 

  • Speaking of sustainability, I am very passionate about bringing all types of sustainability to the industry. The obvious ones are products and reducing the amount we have, but also financial space, brain space, and media space matter too

  • Why are filler products getting front and center celeb treatment? To get me fired up, let's discuss celeb beauty brands while we are at it and how only products with innovation deserve a spot on shelves

  • My favorite ice cream is a total toss up between Ben and Jerry's Phish Food and Jeni's Gooey Butter Cake Ice Cream

  • I am from Denver, CO, went to school in Lawrence, KS, and currently moving from Chicago, IL to San Diego, CA for sunshine and to be near family 

  • My favorite place in the world would be Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater in Morrison, CO as the nostalgia of music is a muse I will never let go of
  • The farthest I have ever traveled was 18 hours to Mumbai, India and truly was the experience of a lifetime, the life lessons that I learned in just a week and a half I would argue were more powerful than middle school

  • Some of my favorite movies consist of The Sound of Music, High School Musical 1 & 3, 2 was just okay imo), The Hannah Montana Movie, Mona Lisa Smile, and The Harry Potter Series (because I know you are curious, I will rank them, but don't hold me to this order for the rest of my life, k, thanks! From most favorite to least favorite 7, 1, 4, 5, 7, 6, 3, what I would do to relive watching them all for the first time!)

You would think that a 10 minute song would be actually unthinkable to listen to, I mean how do you not get bored, but then you listen and it is nothing but a masterpiece -- you could always make someone’s favorite something by doing something new and different, almost unthinkable but here we are with my favorite song being literally 10 minutes, that's like 3 songs in one
